Dr. Laeupple has been my provider since 2015. He is encouraging, caring, knowledgeable, thorough, and so much more! He takes the time to listen to you and includes you in the decision making progress for treatment. After your initial appointment, the sessions do become shorter from my experience; however, he is a psychiatrist. He is doctor that can prescribe medication. If you are expecting hour long appointments, then you need to find a therapist to talk to. You can see both a psychiatrist and a therapist. A therapist's job revolves around working with you to empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage and overcome your mental health challenges. Psychiatrists are overwhelmed with patients. There is actually a shortage of psychiatrists in the area to meet the demands of those needing psychiatry. While he does more than prescribe medication, there are not enough resources or time in the day for him/any psychiatrist to see several patients for long appointments each day.
