Dr. David Dupree is the embodiment of medical ethics, professionalism, dignity, and devotion. He possesses that rare combination of supreme surgical skill and immense emotional intelligence & compassion. From the moment we began to work with him, he steadfastly dedicated himself (& his inimitable team) to saving my mother’s care. And despite the fact that the procedure was an emergency (life or death) surgery, he managed to take a moment to meet with us & to integrate our wishes, ensuring that my mother not only survived, but retained 100% quality of life. In addition, he extended the web of care by looking after the well-being of our family in the days that followed our traumatic experience. Despite his grueling surgical schedule, he met with us daily for over a week, responding frankly, patiently, tenderly, and conscientiously to our questions about her post-surgical needs. He is a tremendous exemplar of medical excellence, and I cannot recommend any surgeon more highly.
