When I presented my case to Dr. Liu seven years ago I was experiencing vision loss and double vision. This was caused by a skull base meningioma involving the cavernous sinus that had literally taken hold in every nook and cranny of my skull. I was on the verge of losing sight in one eye. Doctors at another prestigious hospital had told me there was nothing they could do—it was too dangerous to operate or treat me. The surgery performed by Dr. Liu was extremely successful. He was able to remove all of the tumor in my sinus area, and was able to debulk it in other areas. He removed bone from my skull in order to relieve pressure on my optic nerve, and he cut up the sheath of several nerves to relieve pressure on them. The fantastic news is that my vision has returned to normal, and the tumor has not regrown. I am able to burst with pride at the artwork of my talented Grandson, and watch the soccer games of my exceptional Granddaughter. Dr. Liu has saved my vision and my quality of life.
