Prior to meeting with Dr. Santamaria, he called to familiarize himself with my understanding of my diagnosis. All questions I had were answered and several suggestions given. I was told what to expect and not to be afraid to keep asking until I understood everything. He has a great sense of humor and his concern and compassion were not only extended to me, but to my daughter as well. Going back for follow up appointments, that same kindness was there. If you are unlucky enough to require a surgical oncologist, you will be extremely fortunate to have Dr. Santamaria and Christine Land on your side. They are a great team!
