Dr Mary has been a godsend for the Athens/Meigs County area. I've NEVER had a psychiatrist take the time and interest that she does. I've never felt rushed, or like just a number. She knows who I am, and stays familiar with my life. She asks about my kids and family, and the most important to me; she's empathetic. She'll call me out if it's needed and doesn't mince words. I never feel like she's reading from psych 101, or a script, or worse; zoning out. In all, if you are fortunate enough to get an appointment with her, no matter how far out, don't cancel. She's worth patience. As she would say to me (many times), be kind and gentle with yourself. I hope you find what you're looking for.
