After several years of advising against surgery, Dr. Metcalf finally agreed that surgery was the best option. He repaired a complete tear of my right labrum. Not only was the repair perfect, but he cleaned up the arthritis and my shoulder has been pain free ever since, and felt better than it did when I was thirty. Two years later I needed rotator cuff (and upper bicep reattachment) repair on my left shoulder. Again, Dr. Metcalf did a fantastic job. I could not have been happier with the procedure. I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Metcalf didn't sugar coat anything. Rather, he's very candid, direct, and the most competent shoulder surgeon there is. He's the ONLY surgeon I trust and highly recommend him to everyone I know who needs shoulder surgery.Mark LazarCottonwood Heights, UT
